1. Remove the plastic wrap from one CR2 3-volt lithium battery. Insert the battery into the battery compartment.

2. Look through the eyepiece and turn the focus dial clockwise or counterclockwise until the image is sharp.

3. Press the Power/Start button to turn on the Series 4 Ultra. The display will turn off automatically when it is not in use.

4. Press the Mode button to select a preference. Select Scan for continuous measuring or Active Track for golf flag lock.

5. Press and hold the Mode button for two to three (2-3) seconds to change the unit of measurement to yard or meter. The rangefinder will vibrate to confirm the change.

6. Aim the flag (target) identifier through the sightlines cross on the OLED display. a. To activate Scan Mode, press and hold the Power button to get a continuous reading as you scan your field of view to measure desired objects. b. To activate Active Track mode, press the Power button when aligned with the flag (target) for a quick distance reading. Hold the Power button as you focus on the flag for Active Track flag-lock. When the flag is identified, the unit will vibrate with the final distance to the flag. The Active Track flag lock indicator will flash.

7. Press the Mode button two (2) times for the Brightness Control option. Tap the Power button to toggle to the preferred brightness setting (Level 2 is the default).
