How to connect your device to the Blue Tees Game AppUpdated 21 days ago
Important: your phone's Bluetooth menu is not enough
Many customers connect their Blue Tees device through their phone's system Bluetooth settings (iOS Settings → Bluetooth, or Android Settings → Bluetooth) and then find the GAME App still can't see the device. This is expected — your phone's Bluetooth handles audio only. To use GPS features, yardages, and scoring, you must connect inside the Blue Tees Game App.
How to connect your device in the GAME App
- Power on your Blue Tees device. Hold the power button until it turns on. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Open the Blue Tees Game App and log in to your account.
- Navigate to Devices. Tap the menu or settings icon and select Devices, then tap Connect or Add New Device.
- Select your device from the list that appears. If prompted, tap Pair on any Bluetooth confirmation pop-up.
- Confirm the connection. Your device should now show as connected in the app. You'll see it appear in the device carousel on the home screen.
Device-specific tips
Player Pro
Player Pro requires two separate connections — one for audio (via your phone's Bluetooth menu) and one for GPS (via the GAME App). Both must be active for full functionality. If yardages aren't showing, check that the GAME App connection is active, not just the audio connection. See Why Does Player Pro Have Two Bluetooth Connections?
Captain Pro + Captain Air
Press the Power button to turn on the rangefinder — Bluetooth will begin broadcasting automatically. If it doesn't appear in the app, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds to force pairing mode. The Bluetooth icon should flash when ready to pair. Ringer
Power on your Ringer and navigate to Devices in the GAME App. Confirm the six-digit code displayed on the Ringer screen matches what appears in the app, then tap Connect. See How do I connect and register my Ringer to my Blue Tees Account?
Still not connecting?
- Keep your device within 3 feet of your phone during the pairing process.
- Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings, find any existing entry for your device, tap Forget (iOS) or Unpair (Android), then try pairing again from inside the GAME App.
- Force-quit the GAME App, reopen it, and retry.
- Make sure the GAME App is updated to the latest version — search Blue Tees Game App in the App Store or Google Play to check.
