How should I clean my Series 4 Ultra Rangefinder?Updated 8 months ago
The lens of the laser rangefinder is fully multi-coated for the highest light transmission. As with any multi-coated optics, special care must be taken when cleaning the lens. Follow these tips for proper lens cleaning:
- Blow away any dust or debris on the lens (or use the Blue Tees cleaning cloth).
- To remove dirt or fingerprints, clean with the Blue Tees microfiber cloth. Rub in a circular motion. A coarse cloth or additional rubbing can scratch the lens surface and cause permanent damage. The washable microfiber cleaning cloth included with the rangefinder is ideal for routine lens cleaning. Simply breathe lightly on the lens to provide a slight amount of moisture, then gently rub with the microfiber cloth.
- For a more thorough cleaning, photographic lens tissue and photographic lens cleaning fluid or isopropyl alcohol may be used. Always apply the fluid to the cleaning cloth. Never apply it directly to the lens.
- The rangefinder is water resistant but not waterproof. It should not be exposed to heavy rain or other direct streams of water. It will not withstand submersion in water or other liquids.
NOTE:
- To protect the lens coating, do not touch the lens surface.
- If the lens gets dirty, gently wipe it with the Blue Tees cleaning clot
- The Series 4 Ultra rangefinder has been precisely calibrated. Do not disassemble. If a repair is needed, contact Blue Tees Golf at [email protected].
- Store the rangefinder in a dry, cool, and ventilated place. The ideal location is the carrying case provided.
- Avoid collision or heavy pressure when carrying or using the rangefinder.
- Rain and fog might affect the laser ray path and might cause incorrect measurements.
