What should I do if my Ringer doesn't power on or work as expected?Updated a month ago
Touchscreen not responding
- Check if the screen is locked. The Ringer's touchscreen can be locked via the Action Button (Auto Lock setting). A single press of the Action Button will unlock it. If you're in a pocket or the button has been pressed accidentally, this is the most likely cause.
- Perform a soft reset. Press and hold the Crossed Tees Power/Action Button for five (5) seconds to power OFF. Wait five (5) seconds, then press and hold for five (5) seconds to power back ON.
- Still unresponsive after restart? Connect to the Blue Tees Game App and check for a firmware update — a pending update can sometimes cause touch issues. See How do I update the Firmware on my Ringer Handheld GPS?
- If the touchscreen still doesn't respond after a firmware update, contact us for a warranty assessment.
Ringer doesn't power on
- Firmly press and hold the Crossed Tees Power/Action Button for five (5) seconds.
- Ensure your unit is fully charged. Plug into a wall adapter (5V/2A minimum) for at least 2–3 hours before retrying.
- If the power button does not respond after a full charge, contact customer support.
Device freezes at the "RINGER" logo on startup
- Press and hold the Power/Action Button for ten (10) seconds to force a restart.
- If it boots normally, connect to the Blue Tees Game App and check for a firmware update before your next round.
- If the freeze repeats after a firmware update, contact us — this is covered under your 2-year manufacturer warranty.
Ringer turns off while being used
- Battery charge is likely low. Recharge for 2–3 hours using a wall adapter (5V/2A minimum). Note: battery levels display in intervals (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 10%, LOW) — if it shows LOW, charge immediately.
LCD has poor display quality
- Press and hold the Crossed Tees Power/Action Button for five (5) seconds to power OFF.
- Wait five (5) seconds.
- Press and hold for five (5) seconds to power back ON.
- If the LCD does not improve after restarting, contact customer support.
Ringer will not pair via Bluetooth
- Move Ringer and your mobile device within three (3) feet of each other.
- On your phone's Bluetooth settings, forget/remove any existing "Ringer" entry, then re-pair fresh.
- On your Ringer, confirm Bluetooth is enabled in device settings and the device is in pairing mode.
- Open the Blue Tees Game App and use the Devices section to connect — do not rely on your phone's system Bluetooth settings alone.
Ringer disconnected from the mobile app
- Ringer will enter auto-pair mode and reconnect automatically once in range of your mobile device.
- If it doesn't reconnect, open the Blue Tees Game App, go to Device Settings, and tap "CONNECT".
Ringer remote control not working
- Ensure both your Ringer and Player+ speaker are registered and connected to the Blue Tees Game App.
- After connecting both devices, navigate to the Remote Control screen on your Ringer and tap the blue Crossed Tees button.
