How is data displayed in the Launch app?Updated 14 days ago

When using the Launch app with your Rainmaker device, your shot data is transmitted and displayed quickly to provide near real-time feedback.

Data Transmission and Timing

The Rainmaker sends shot data to the Launch app via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Once you hit a shot, you can expect to see your data and ball trajectory appear in the app within approximately 4–5 seconds.

Data Availability

In most cases, all metrics tracked by the Rainmaker will be displayed in the Launch app. This ensures you have access to a complete picture of your performance after each shot.

Why Launch Angle May Not Appear

There is one exception to the data display: Launch Angle.

If the Rainmaker detects a Launch Angle value that falls outside of our defined quality thresholds (classified as an outlier), the app will not display that value. Instead, you will see:

in the Launch Angle metric tile.

Why This Happens

This safeguard is in place to ensure that only reliable and accurate data is shown. By filtering out outliers, we prevent misleading or incorrect information from impacting your understanding of your performance.

If you notice missing Launch Angle data occasionally, it is expected behavior and part of maintaining data quality within the app.
