Audio Design: Why does it sound better outdoors?Updated 2 months ago
If you’ve noticed the Player+ Speaker doesn’t look like a traditional “two-sided” speaker design, that’s intentional. During development, our goal was to create a richer, more powerful sound experience specifically for outdoor use—especially on the golf course.
Built for Outdoor Sound Performance
Instead of placing speaker drivers on both sides, the Player+ Speaker features two large drivers stacked on the right side. This design helps deliver stronger, clearer sound projection outdoors, where open air can reduce volume and bass compared to indoor environments.
Enhanced Bass with Passive Radiators
To improve low-end performance, we also added an extra passive radiator on the left side (beneath the buttons). Combined with the passive radiators on the top and bottom, this setup produces:
Deeper bass
Fuller sound outdoors
Better audio clarity while moving or riding in a golf cart
What “360° Audio” Means on the Player+
The Player+ 360-degree audio experience is based on the combined output of two powerful drivers and three deep bass passive radiators. This configuration helps disperse sound and bass in multiple directions, creating a more immersive listening experience no matter where you’re positioned around the speaker.
Designed for the Golf Course
The Player+ Speaker was optimized with outdoor environments in mind, ensuring it delivers high-quality audio performance where it matters most—on the course.
